  • Change live waveform monitor and vectorscope to 701?

Posted by George Strother on July 12, 2008 at 12:37 am

Using FCPs “live waveform monitor and vectorscope”, is there a way to display HD color space and targets?

Changing to HD bars in viewer changes the tool bench scopes, but not the live waveform scopes.

I haven’t been able to find a way searching the manuals or the forum.

If you’re in an HD timeline (Rec 709), they will display in 709. If your timeline is SD, they will display in 601.

Viewer and canvas do change the v-scope vector targets to HD/709 colorspace.

The “live waveform monitor and vectorscope” come up in Log and Capture and they do not follow the timeline settings or the capture format. They stay in NTSC, possibly converting the HD colorspace to NTSC colorspace to match the vector targets.

I’m asking if there is a way to change the setting of the “live … vectorscope” colorspace settings used in Log and Capture to HD/709.
