Hey does anybody know how to change the levels of multiple audio clips in a bin? I often import lots of music tracks and they always come in really hi. I can change each track one at a time but it usually takes a long time. Is there a global way to change them all?

I don’t know if it can be done in a bin, but it sure can be done in the timeline pretty easily. Move the position over the first clip in the timeline, and then open the Audio Mixer. Adjust as you like, and then use the fast menu and choose to “Set Level On Track – Global”.

    Hope that helps a little.

It can’t be done in the bin–you either have to cut them all into the timeline like Alex suggested, then you can make subsequences out of each one to treat them as individual clips afterwards, or you can load each one into your source monitor seperately and change them there. It’s been requested at avid.com that we be given a feature to allow for batch audio adjusting. If only Avid would make it happen!!

This has been a major gripe for years and years. I wouldn’t hold your breath.
