  • Change length AND keyframes of a clip

Posted by Donwickedo on September 8, 2005 at 1:58 pm

    Yo dudes,
I need to find out if there is a way to change the length of a clip and have the filter/motion keyframes follow in suit…

I really don’t want to change each keyframe after I change the length 🙁

Thanks a lot and all the best 🙂

BEFORE you change the length of the clip.

Select (highlight) the clip (don’t double-click it).
    Hit “Apple-C” (Copy).

Change the length of the clip.

Select (highlight) the clip (don’t double-click it).
    Hit “Option-V” (Paste Attributes)

When dialog box opens, choose the attributes you want to transfer and make sure “Scale Attribute Times” is selected.

This will “stretch out” the timings of the key-frames to fit the new longer clip length.
