  • Change effect in one place….lose renders throughout timeline. Have to Re-render

OK…so I have a sequence that has many, many track matte effects applied across many layers.
The matte shapes are often cut and pasted to different parts in the timeline so I can apply the same parameters to different video clips.
A major problem arises when I decide to modify one clip and it unrenders many other clips in the timeline.

This has become extremely frustrating as I have to render/ and re-render a large portion on my timeline every time I make a simple change to one clip. Productivity has gone completely out the window!

I’m guessing it has something to do with sharing the same/related matte clip many times in the timeline and they are linked somehow. Is there a way to make them independent each instance I use them?

FWIW… in order to resize and frame the video in the mattes I am using the Andy’s Better 3D filter.
Sequence is 1920×1080 with a master crop overlay for a specific projector.

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Working on a:
    2.7 Ghx 12-core Intel Xeon E5
    64 Gb Ram
Adobe Premiere 7.2.2 and also tried with CC2014 8.0
