Change default setting of transition FCPX
Does anyone know how to change a default setting of a transition in FCPX?
For example to change the colour of a “fade to colour” transition.In FCP 7 you would apply the transition to a clip in the timeline, make changes to the transition settings, then drag the transition from the timeline back into a bin. Any time you would apply that transition from then on, it would remember the changes to the settings you made.

Can’t drag them to an event that’s for sure. You can usually edit them in the transition panel. Right click and open in motion, make your changes, and save. It’ll save as a copy.
Or you can simply option drag the transition in the timeline to copy and paste it. That’s all I ever do. In X or in legacy.
