Chance folder names, problems?
Hello, I have a question. Maybe it is stupid, but better safe than sorry 🙂
When I started my business, I classified my project using this label format: CLIENT DAY MONTH YEAR
For example: ADIDAS_26112012I realise this is really stupid, putting the day first, and my classification is a mess right now.
Can I just change the name of the folder, or will this cause problems? Since in premiere I refer to files in the folder “ADIDAS_26112012>Rushes”
Will Premiere (and other programs) still find the file if I change the folder to ADIDAS_20121126?I hope my question is clear.

When opening the proyect Premiere will ask you for the files he can´t find, if you have all of them in same folder, just re-link one and premiere will automatically find the rest. When all clips are re-linked, save the proyect and the new path of files will be saved too for next time you open it.

Gabriel is right. I’d also suggest doing date_client since you can list your archive in chronological order. I’ve found it more industry standard and more useful for file management.
