    I’m posting this in the hope that someone with more experience in such things can suggest a better way to go about making a chain with “lifelike” dynamics.

    In my attempt, I created a spline, with spline dynamics and put it within an Atom Array to make it appear like the chain I was going for.

    I’d like to also be able to move the “cap” end and have the chain move with it in a real-world type of way, not sure theres an easy way to do this.

    What you have looks pretty good, IMO. If you want to make it more physically correct you’d need to use the regular dynamics system. Problem is that it’s a little difficulty to keep it from being too twitchy. Here’s a quick example: 6530_ballchain.c4d.zip
