Centering the Anchor Point for text layers
Whenever I create a new text layer, for some reason After Effects decides that its not a good idea to put the anchor point right in the center! So if I decide to do anything like rotate the text layer, I have to zoom in and manually set the anchor point myself.
I was thinking maybe it would be possible to write an expression which could center the anchor point. I tried writing one, but then I saw that the height of a text layer varies depending on what font you use. So now I’m kind of at a loss as to how to go about it, if it would even be possible.
After Effects knows how tall the text layer is… because it shows a boundary around it, so it seems like it would be really trivial to figure out the center. Using the layers width and height arguments doesnt seem to work though.Anyone know another way of going about writing this expression?
