  Center cut down convert

  I have a client with a show that was shot on HDV and offlined in DV. It is to be mastered as a centercut SD production. They are editing with Final Cut Pro and have DP G5 2.0 GHz Macs with Decklink Pro HD cards. Is there some way to digitize a center cut? If not, would it be better to digitize it anamorphically and then scale the width? The other alternatives would be to digitize it letterboxed and scale both height and width (yuk), or digitize it as HD and drop it into an SD timeline.
