cel render style?
Can anyone suggest how to get this look in Cinema? https://www.travelers.com/resources/home/safety/generator-safety.aspx
I’m a relative newbie in the 3D world – I’ve done some modeling and animation, but I’m not sure how to get this look from a render.

you need 3 passes, a two step cel shading with the sketch and toon renderer (there is plenty of tutorials on that, see greyscale gorilla and eyedesyn)
a regular standard render beauty pass with just the luminance channel on, that will give you the colors.
and a ambient occlusion pass. (that you can do with the previous pass). Save it in another sequency for better compositing control.
Just composite it all together, screen or overlay for the cel, and multiply for the OCC.
