    Hi,
I try to export Cinema 4D file to After Effect CS4, but I can not open the .aec with AE CS4.

I already install the plugin, but that doesn’t work.

    Help Me Please

    Pierre,

Have you tried importing the .aec file rather than opening it directly in AE?

You can’t open the .aec file directly in AE. You have to import the .aec file and it will create a folder with your C4D composition.

I’m having the same problem. It works in CS3 as it should, but CS4 won’t open it all, it doesn’t even recognize the file as an .aec it says it’s missing it’s suffix. Anyone come up with a solution for this?

I figured it out. Just copy the cs3 C4d plugin to the your cs4 plugin folder. Don’t know why that plugin wasn’t already installed though.
