    CC Snow and Masking

    Hello,

    I am new to After Effects and will appreciate anyone’s input on this.

    I am using a CC Snow effect on a solid but when I mask the solid (simple circle add mask) the mask doesn’t seem to apply to the snow.

    i would like the snow to be contained within the mask circle but instead the solid gets masked and the snow keeps going in and outside of the mask.

    is there anyway to mask effects? specifically Snow and Tile.

    Precompose the layer, then mask.
