I have just purchased a copy of AE 6.5 I have been doing some tutorials and experiments. One that I wish to duplicate is a raindrop demo that uses CC Blobbylize. From the Adobe and COW site it would seem that this plugin is
bundled with AE6.5 When I load the project file, AE complains it can’t find
it. More ceareful reading indicates that CC is a second install on the AE disk.

My choices on the disk are AE, AE Readme, AE Docs, Adobe Readme, CD_ROM contents,
Synthetic Aperture Color Finesse, The Foundry Keylight, Digital Anarchy 3D
    assistants, and Gridiron X-Factor.

I have installed all but the X-Factor software and can’t find Blobbylize. I do
have a problem with Color Finesse. When I click on the “Setup” button in the
effect window, it barfs and wants to send a message to mom (Microsoft).

Help, what am I doing wrong!

Maybe ou have the Education Version? No CC there. Otherwise it should be on the disk.

Yes I have the educational version. I just dug deeper at Adobe and came up with the same answer. That ticks me off as I was very careful to read what the difference between the versions was. Their website said “NO DIFFERENCES”. Grumble, grumble.

    Time to implement plan B.

Does that involve a shotgun and kicking some ass? 😛 Anyways, hope it works out.

All it involves is a caustic letter to Adobe and looking for a
different effect to write the credits in. The raindrop effect
using blobbyrize was just perfect for my under/above water
    animation.
