!!!! Caution FCP5 upgrade Deletes FCP4.5 !!!!!!!
Unlike FCP4, FCP5 upgrade Deletes previous installs!!!
Why is this an issue???
Because if you are sharing projects with other people that have only 4.5 then there might be a problem.
I’d like to be able to test the compatibility beteween versions but now I have to reinstall on another partition.
By the way same goes for Motion 2 , Motion 1 is now gone!!

Same for DVD Studio Pro and Compressor
Previous versions are gone.
This is not necessarily a bad thing, this is different behavior than previous installers.

“Rename your apps prior to installing FCP5 – Then they work just fine with both installed.
