To sedm a favor when I try to capture in the Final Cut from my mini camera DV I do not recognize the camera, The setings are already configured. Is that the camera recognizes the power that I get a warning that says DV in, But the MAC not recognized, My question is, Is that the configuration of the camera is wrong and should read the notice to look for DV in DV out. Or the cable is damaged.

Thanks for Las aid and a great new year greetings to all.

What camera are you trying to use? Final Cut will not recognize every camera under the sun, especially if it’s a consumer level camera.

As Walter points, first make sure that your Mac is getting the FW stream properly.
Plug the camera and open QT, then: File> New Movie Recorder.
If you get the picture in, then you have something set wrong in FC.
With the camera plugged, open the “Capture Setups” and duplicate the one corresponding to your camera (NTSC DV 48Khz?) and open it to edit. See if in “Digitizer” is showing your camera.

    Abre QT Player.
In the File Menu, abre “New Movie Recorder”.
