Cartoonisation Effect with Green Screen Styles – Need some Alpha channel help!
Hello Everyone. My name is tom and i just recently discovered the cartoonisation tutorial on creative cow.com
At the end of the tutorial it mentions combining green screening and static backgrounds with the cartoonisation process. And this is exactly what we are trying to achieve on a production of ours. However, there is a slight flaw and i would love some advice with this if at all possible!
So heres where im at. – Ive keyed out the subject in after effects and then exported the sequence to be cartoonised from AE as a tiff sequence (With RGB and ALPHA channels)
Ive completed the process and imported my cartoonised illustrator sequences back into AE and have lost my alpha channels.
So here is my dilemma, is there a setting in the export process of Illustrator that im missing? or do i have to go back into the code of the illustrator script and allow for RGB and Alpha?
Also can i export a tiff sequence from illustrator instead of illustrator files? this might solve the problem but again i am at a loss of how…

First Cartoonify – then remove the green in AE. Make sure to allow only one green in the color pallete to ensure an easy key.
That will work.
