Posted by Rap on October 7, 2007 at 7:22 amHello everybody
I am trying to add a “waking life” look to my project and I found “line art” effect in FCP effects but that is very limited, is there any other effect I can use? download maybe (free!)thanks for any suggestions

Graphic Novel Look. Close…
Waking life was frame by frame painstakingly assembled.

Have a wonderful day.

Yes, I have tried both.

October 8, 2007 at 6:10 amThis doesn’t involve FCP per se, but another way uses After Effects and Illustrator CS2 and up. It involves creating a sequence of stills, using Live Trace in Illustrator to create the vector images, then rebuilding the sequence in AE (or FCP).
The Cow’s Aharon Rabinowitz has a 2-part video podcast on the process:

The post here goes through a couple of processes, including Aharon’s tutorial. Though it mostly covers the same as talked about above.
