    Hi.
I’m been working on a project in Final Cut Pro 6.0. Basically I’m using still photos and some video as a background and overlaying my animation on top of that.

To get the background to blend better with the animation, I’m applying a cartoon filter (from NewBlue Free Effects).

For the most part I’m not having a problem with it. However, it doesn’t seem to like a few photos. Once the filter is applied to those photos, everything is really slow — every little movement of the mouse causes the pinwheel to appear.

Why is it doing that and how do I fix it?

    Thanks.
    Kai

You mean once the effect has been rendered?

On the file I’m working on right now it’s a 3MB file. Under get info, it lists the dimensions as 3008 x 2000.
