I am copying an older project of mine that only exits on a DVD in mpg2. After importing into Vegas pro 9, how can I make a few simple cuts and get it back on DVD without recompressing and the resultant quality hit?

Probably not gong to happen unless you make the cuts on i-frames. And if nothing else changes.
