  • Card Wipe Matte Pass?

I don’t think it’s possible, but maybe it is?

Client is looking for matte passes on a card wipe effect, so they can substitute their own image of the “back layer” during the effect. To be clear, they will not be replacing the “background” behind the effect. It’s the actual “back layer” of the card wipe that they would like to replace later on.

Is that possible? If so, any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

The ‘matte’ would be the inverse of the key, but it won’t map an image to the individual cards, just key the card shapes to the image.

To map the image to the cards they’ll need after effects and your project to replace the back layer.
