I have been having some trouble capturing footage from my Xbox. Let me first describe how I am attempting to do this. I am taking the AV(analog not component) out on the Xbox and running it into an analog splitter, then the first out of the splitter goes to the TV and the other out on the splitter goes into my Grass Valley (Canopus) ADVC110 digital converter. It is fed into the analog in on the front of the unit and out through firewire (400) into my macbook (2GHz Intel Core Duo) and I am running FCP 6.0.5.
I have been able to capture analog signal from other sources such as DVD, VHS and have captured game footage from a PS2. I am just lost as to why I am not able to route this signal from the Xbox in analog form and convert it to a digital signal to be captured in FCP.
Any help or advice would be gladly welcomed. I will be trying to capture footage from the WII later this week, with hopefully more success.
