    Hi Creatives,

I need a bit of assistance.

I’m using CS4 and I’m trying to capture some footage on my Panasonic HDC-HS9 camera.

I have a Sony DSR-11 DV CAM player which I use to capture normal DV footage, but this is my first time trying to get HD in to PP CS4.

I first just tried to drag the .MTS file which was on the hard drive of the camera to my project folder and then into Premiere. The results were what seem to be a hi-res video with a lot of “compression” artifacts throughout the video during playback in PP. When paused however, the picture becomes clear again.

I then connected the camera to my DV Cam player using RGB cables that came with the camera which seems to only import as DV footage (not 1920x1080p)

The camera has a HDMI port, but I don’t have anything on my computer that can take an HDMI cable.

Can someone spot something wrong or something I should try? Any project settings suggestions?

Basically I need to get some HD footage for a promo blu-ray disc we’re making for my company.

    Many, many thanks,
    Clint
