Capturing Video in Vegas
I have a JVC MiniDV camcorder with a bunch of different clips on the tape, but when I capture in Vegas, it all comes across as one large clip and then I have to go through and separta each clip manually. Is there a setting that will do this for me automatically while capturing? Thank you in advance

In VidCap (the capture utility), Options – Prefs – Capture.
Make sure that Enable DV Scene Detection is selected.
If it is, that means one of two things.
#1. The time & date aren’t set in your camcorder (this is where time code is derived from);
#2. The internal battery needs to be changed (life expectancy is about 5 years max).
