    Hello all,

This is my first post, and I’m really glad I found this wonderful resource! Lot’s of great questions and answers!

Anyways, to the point. My sister hired a videographer last minute to shoot a friends wedding. They were just shooting as I told her I could do the editing. The footage was shot on a Sony XDCAM at 29.97 fps in SD as far as the person at the company could tell me. I am trying to capture it into FCP using my Canon XH-A1 and I’m having issues.

Even when playing the tapes back on the camera while not capturing, they are very jumpy and almost pixilated. I thought it may be one tape, but all three are the same. Is there an issue using Sony tapes on this camera?

Thanks in advance for any help, and glad to be a part of this awesome community!
