  Capturing HDV format using FCP for export in Apple Pro Res 422 codec

  Hi guys & gals,

  Just need some help, I’ve been looking around the site and previous posts but I still haven’t found the solution to my problem. I’m pretty new with using HD or HDV settings in FCP since till today I’ve pretty much only been working on SD PAL formats.

  I’m working using:
  -Quad core Mac Pro
  -with Capture Card Decklink HD Extreme, SD and HDCapture Card PCI-e to playback HDV through the card.
  -Sony Z1P

  At the moment the Z1P is simply connected through firewire and I’m trying to capture HDV quality footage to export to codec Apple Pro Res 422. I’ve read the tutorial in this link https://library.creativecow.net/articles/poisson_chris/hdv-prores.php from Chris Poisson but his way isn’t working for my set-up.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
