I’m working on an HD project we shot at 60 fps. Our 3rd camera/b-roll was shot on DVCam tape at 30fps at 1080i on the Sony HDV1080i camera. I’m trying to log the tapes, and some of the FCP settings won’t let me open the Log and Capture window.

When I select: Capture Preset: HDV and Device Control Preset: Sony HDV1080i50 Firewire, I get the L&C window, but playback looks sped up a bit, not a lot. It doesn’t seem fluid, but it definately moves.

    Which settings should I use?

    Thanks so much,
    Evelyn

    Evelyn,
Try setting your input to 1080i60. Since you captured at 30 fps, you would need to capture at 60 fields interlaced.
