capturing from dvd to premiere pro
Is this possible? I don’t think so since I can’t find any way to do it in the interface, and the help files have nothing about it. All I see related to DVD is to export to it.
I have a bunch of footage on DVD that was captured as .vob files. I can play them in my DVD player, but can’t import the files into anything. There’s some programs you can buy to convert the .vob files, but it would be nice to be able to just capture the DVD into Premiere.
Any ideas?

You can not do that. Buy a program to do it for you, like ImTooDVD Ripper. Or, you can possibly change the file extension to .mpg and purchase the MainConceot MPEG plugin. It is cheaper to convert them.
