On short notice I took a job using 2 GL1’s..Still a great workhorse. I am also using Vegas 5. I really used the camcorders. If I had a switcher it really would have been fun. From one camera, I used the AV out to run two projectors for two screens in the back. I also used a firewire to my laptop to capture directly to an external drive. Worked great, however I had a question. When I set up the disc management, I was able to check the box for more than one file in more that one drive to capture to. It gave me the accumilated time of capture available. At that point I assumed it would fill one drive and turn to the next. It didn’t. My question is…Should it have? Is it possible? On subsequent versions of Vegas…is it possible?

One more question, I also simultaniously also ran a tape. I noticed in the capture utility Vegas gives camera control to turn the tape on in the camera. The only problem with doing that was that when using that control it wouldn’t let me also capture to the hard drive. Another question is, do subsequent versions of Vegas Allow this.

I was amazed that I was doing so much with a GL1. People also liked the picture. I was worried about it when I learned they wanted me to also use my AV out to their two projectors and large screens. It was cool.
