On the XH A1, if I down-convert in-camera, will capturing and editing be exactly the same as capturing and editing mini DV footage? Will it be as if I shot the footage on a non-HDV camera? I am looking at buying the A1, and I have a Mac G4, dual 1GHtz processor, with 512 RAM, and I use FCPro HD 4.5, which does not capture HDV. I’d rather not upgrade the computer or software yet, but be able to have the footage in HDV for possible later re-edits. I capture and edit from mini DV and Digital8 without a problem. I want to shoot broadcastable TV pilots that are Travel Channel type stuff.
    Thanks.

Yes, it will be the same.

Yes, although you may find the quality a bit better than DV25 because the HD footage will have more information to start with.
