Capturing DV
I am capturing footage from a Mini DV, onto FCP. I’m doing a straight through capturing, letting the time code breaks make clips for me, instead of logging and capturing. Anywho, there is a 5 min segment, that FCP only captured 3 frames worth. Why is that, and how can I fix it?

If you haven’t had success already by recapturing, there are two things you might try –
1. starting capture a bit into the 5 min clip and not at its very beginning (a few seconds in), as FCP is having a hard time recognizing that it’s all one unit
2. and recapturing using uncontrolled device mode
