capturing channel 4 audio
On my XLH1 I have audio on channels 1, 2 and 4. Is there a way to capture just 1 and 4?

Yes, but you will most likely have to capture channel 1 in one pass, then channel 4 in a second pass. At least this is the case with Final Cut Pro.
