I could have sworn I recorded my footage in 24p Advanced (w the AG-DVX100A)

After capturing the footage into Final Cut Pro (NTSC 24p (23.98) Adnaced Pulldown Removal) I noticed the audio keeps chopping out here and there. I was confused. It sounds fine in the headphones while playing from the DV device (Sony GVD1000). I tried capturing without the pulldown as well. Same thing. I tried using Premiere CS3 to capture. Same thing. Even in plain old NTSC (29.97) Widescreen.

I don’t have a clue what is causing the problem. Any ideas?
