Captures video but not audio
Posted by Chad Van alstin on December 30, 2012 at 4:42 amI’m using Sony Vegas 11. When I capture video from any mini DV camera, the videos have no audio. The video selection option shows my camcorder, but the only capture option for audio is my PCs mic — nothing else to select.
Any idea how to solve this? I don’t even know where to start. I have no problems capturing on other software….

December 30, 2012 at 5:08 amMake sure the option “Capture Audio” is ON (Options > Preferences > Capture)
(I assume that you use Sony Video Capture)Vegasaur.com – Plugins for Sony Vegas Pro

December 30, 2012 at 5:37 amThere is no capture tab in options that I see. However, audio is captured — just though my PC mic, as opposed to the camera. I use Sony Video Capture 6.0.

December 30, 2012 at 7:24 amCorrect. The program will read the camera to capture video…but the only audio option is the PC microphone. It’s so strange.
