  • Captured with scene detect – want to source as 1 large file.

I captured a whole tape with scene detect enabled using a 3rd party prog.

Now I have around 300 files that make up my source footage.

With my other editing application I used to do this.

    1. Put all clips on the timeline
    2. Save the project and called it ‘Main Footage’
    3. Open a new project and drag the ‘Main footage’ project into my
source monitor and my editing application will treat it as 1 large file rather than 300 small files.

I can now easily scroll through and set in and out points.

Now – Can I acheive a similar result with Prem Pro CS4?

I tried Putting all clips on the timeline sequence callign it ‘Main footage’ but Premiere won’t let me drag this sequence into the source monitor.

I also tried saving the project with all files on the timeline but Premiere won’t let me dar the project into the source monitor either.

Can what I want to do be done in Premiere Pro – Or do I have to simply capture in large chunks without scene detect?

Hold down the ctrl key and dubble click on the sequence in the project window.
