    To All,

I have a problem with captured video the total length of the event is 55 mins. After I capture the video in PPCS3 I only get about 15 – 20 mins of footage. Any help is much appreciated.

Any chance of you harddisk being FAT formatted instead of NTFS.
FAT does not allow you to capture more than 4 gig which is about 20 minutes.

I am betting on broken timecode on the tape…your footage is there, but finding it can be tough. FF to the end of the tape visually, then rewind.

All my HD’s are formatted NTFS. I captured from camera using a firewire cable. I captured all my video from the same event from a different tape. All the video from these clips work fine using them in the timeline. The thing that is puzzling, I can open the video using media player and watch the entire event.

Thanks for all your help, figured out the problem, was the MainConcept codec, the avi file was using a DVPRO HD codec. Uninstalled the HD plugin and fixed all.

No, FF your camera and verify that you are at the end of the tape, then rewind a bit to see the footage you missed. Finding the break can be tough.

    Mike,

Thanks for your help, that answered another question on another project. This problem had to do with a mainconcept HD codec.
