    Hi!

Because of the PCI-X to PCIe issue, I’ve settled on not going with the Studio for now… -;(

But: I will have to film in digibeta and deliver in 1080i or 720p.

Where, when and how would you uprez. Is it possible to capture SD 16:9 as HD through analogue? (f.ex. dvcpro hd?)

Or is there a better way?

You shouldn’t capture it as HD. You should capture and edit in SD, then do the conversion when you’re ready to finish. Unless you have a ton of HD graphic files to work with, it doesn’t make sense to do your work in HD.

If the footage has 3:2 pulldown on it, I would suggest capturing and editing at 24p Uncompressed SD. This will make the upconversion much easier when the time comes and you won’t need a Teranex to do it. You can use Final Cut, After Effects, or any other software based scaler and get good results.
