capture with sony dsr1500
hi, i have a problem capturing dvcpro footage from a sony dsr1500 to final cut pro. it says it has vtr connection (ilink) but i can’t conrol my deck and i do see the tape’s footage but it is scrambled. capture settings: firewire pal, dv pal 48 kHz DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!!

I’m nearly positive that all the Sony decks can only play DVCPRO out their analog ports. So component would work, but Firewire or SDI will not.
You either need to get a DVCPRO deck or some kind of I/O device or card for your computer that can capture analog component signals.
