  Capture Window Won’t Open

  I am trying to capture some old DV Tapes on my secondary capture PC and I am using a Sony DV 1000 capture deck and an IEEE 1394 Firewire cable to capture. I am running Adobe Premiere CS 5.5. I have used this computer before. It has a Firewire slot in the back next to the USB’s

  I am unable to get the capture window to come up when I click “Capture” under the File tab or F5. It just deselects.

  I was able to use a Roxio capture software to test to see if I could get it to respond and the playback is perfect with that. Audio and video is recognized.

  DV 1000 is recognized as a device and Adobe see’s it as online under the capture device properties.

  Any ideas? What am I missing? Never had this issue before. Let me know if I need to provide more technical info
