    Hi All,

I was just wondering whats the best DV codec to cap from a DV Camera (JVC) to use in after effects I use winDV to cap my videos but I think it just uses the normal DV codec that comes with windows (MS one I think) is there a beter DV codec or how can I cap it to a QT .mov file as I hear that has the best lossless format, I’m new to all this so sorry 🙁

any help would be great 😉

    Cheers
    Patrick

AVI is a container file format like MOV (Quicktime). It’s not a codec. Since your camera records DV encoded video you should capture it as DV. If your capture software has settings for quality, set them to the highest possible.
