  • Capture uncompressed 8 bit 4:2:2 720p24/DVCPRO HD to ProRes on G5?

If I’m using Color to finish a project for someone and they have a G5 can they playback there uncompressed file and I capture it to ProRes on my G5 at the same time?
Also has anyone used the magna cards I think it is called?
    Thanks!

I really don’t understand your question about capturing the Uncompressed to ProRes from one G5 to another using Color.

Please explain what you want to do in some more detail.

I am capturing in ProRes using Final Cut Pro so I can work with the footage in color.

So they have uncompressed files and you want them in ProRes?

Just convert them using FCP or Compressor. Not many G5 systems have been able to digitize in ProRes without dropping frames.
