capture tool empty
having a little problem with the capture tool (system specs in signature). twice now, when activating it, either via tools or toolset, the capture tool popped up empty- mjust a blank gray box. closing/reopening the Avid didn’t help. power cycling the mojo box didn’t help. a complete system shutdown and restart hepled. this has happened 2 days in a row. might something be starting to go awry?

Have you upgraded QT lately? I’ve seen a lot of weird things happen with the wrong version of QT. I can’t find the support matrix for XPress on the website, but the correct version should be in your readme.

I did a little digging and found that 7.1 is the approved version of quicktime. They have version 7.6.2. I can’t say when it was installed. Might you know how to go about putting 7.1 back?

Uninstall the current copy of Quicktime through Windows (start > control panel > uninstall programs), then install the new quicktime:

Thanks. Will do. Now all I have to do is dig up their I.T. person and get them to unblock the QT download page. It’s always something……………………….
