    Capture SR-DVM700U footage to Premire Pro 2.0

    Hello,

    I am recording video onto the hard drive of our JVC SR-DVM700U recorder.
    From there, I would like to capture it through 4-pin firewire onto my HP laptop with Premiere Pro (or WinDVD).
    My questions are,

    -Will Premiere recognize the video if it comes through the firewire straight into my laptop?

    -Is there a better editing software for capturing from the SR-DVM700U (such as WinDVD or FCP)?

    -Can I capture the footage directly into the laptop while recording onto the JVC (or even without recording onto the JVC)?
