Capture snafu – Aja Io LA to FCPro 6 – could be QT issue?
This used to be so easy… No communication in capture window from S-video DVD deck through Aja Io LA firewire into FCP 6.0.6. Capture preset is for 8-bit uncompressed 422 NTSC 29.97. OSX 10.5.9 Mac PowerBook onto LaCie FW800 ext. disk. Tried hooking up Aja using Mac bus and PCcard slot. Trashed preferences, rebooted, power cycled Aja.
Could this be a QuickTime issue? I downgraded to QT 7.5.5. Still no go.

Throughput issue from the Powerbook and FW800. Way to slow for 8 bit UC.

It may be slow, but it’s worked in the past. I’ve gotten a connection and an image in the Capture window.
