Capture settings adjustments
SPECS: G4 – FCP 3.04
ISSUE: I’m not sure how it happened, but, when opening the settings in the capture window, The levers for Audio INPUT and COLOR SETTINGS are greyed out therefore, not able to adjust.
QUESTION: How do I get it to where I am able to adjust the levels in the capture window?
Please help if you can. Thanks! -

Jeff,
None of the digital video formats can be adjusted when capturing via firewire, because you’re capturing native data as zeros and ones, just it’s recorded to tape. It’s not not like digitizing analog video and audio signals from tape, in which case you’re able to adjust the signals on the way in before turning them into zeros and ones during analog to digital conversion. Do you get it?
