I would like to know if there is a limit or something I should know about how much files I should keep in a single capture scratch.
It’s kinda wierd question but I’m about to have more than a thounsand QT clip in a single capture scratch, so is it better for me to seperate all the captured clip in different folder inside mu capture scratch?

    thank you

I don’t believe there is a limit to how many clips you can have in your capture scratch. The important thing is to be sure you are not capturing to your system drive and make sure the hard drive you are capturing to has enough space. I don’t fill my drives much more than 50% of their capacity.

    Thank you,
But do you think if I create folders inside my capture scratch, to help searching trough my captured items, FCP will work out well even if all my media are not on the first level of my capture scratch?
By the way I’m working on external drive of course.

    Thank you
    Guillaume
