    Dear all,

I’m recently having trouble capturing SDI 10-bit uncompressed video using the AJA Io box, Mac G5 (4 Gb ram, dual processor) on Xraid. Tried everything; updating firmware, re-installed and updated FC (i’m using version Final Cut Pro 5.2.1). The problem is freeze frames in video capture ( while audio capture continues well). I even closed any other application during capturing to avoid conflicts ( shouldn’t be neccessary should it?) The problem occurs at random, tried to capture on the intern hardisk, but doesn’t make any difference..

    Do you have any suggestions?

    Thanks for your time!

Are you running all of the latest drivers for the X Serve Raid? Their are some newish ones I think.. Is this with all tapes? and what is the source footage? Digi Beta or?

    Hi Jerry,

yes my source footage is Digi Beta, tried to change capture from different VTR’s but without change, using also different tapes. I’m currently using X Serve Raid driver version 1.0

I’ve been suggested by the dealer assistence, since we’re using two workstations (same configuration, AJA IO, G5) connected to the X Serve Raid, to connect one of the G5 to the Xraid by LAN…? Since the other workstation doesn’t have any capture problems at all, it sounds to me as a strange advice? But perhaps it is needed to install xserve raid admin, so that I can upgrade the X raid driver?

    Thanks for your time!
