    Dear listeners,

    I’m trying to capture a DVCAM tape directly from a Sony DSR-570 shoulder camera (in PAL).

    For some reason, when I open log and capture FCP says preview disabled and refuses to let me see or capture any of my footage. The timecode ticks and I can control the device but nothing more.

    I can’t see any reason why it wouldn’t support that camera?

    Any ideas?

    Do you have your capture preset for DV PAL?

    Yes, everything is set to DV PAL 48K etc etc nothing has been changed since I used a DSR-11, I was hopping to digitise ASAP.
