Capture now clip naming
I am trying to capture some MiniDV footage with a specific naming convention. I am capturing tapes of old footage for archival with the following naming convention:
MiniDV01_01, MiniDV01_02, MiniDV01_03, etc
How would I set this up using the ‘capture now’ option? I am easily able to do this in Premiere with it naming the clips for me after each timecode break. Not sure how to in Final Cut however… -

When you open the L&C window, you’ll notice that there’s a bunch of empty text fields on the right hand side. First is reel name or number, next is clip name, etc.
If you consult your manual, it will tell you how to use these fields to do what you want plus add additional information for your edit.
