  • Capture not finalizing HD file – corrupt file

We’ve recently upgraded our studio from SD to HD and have had occasional issues when capturing an hour of HD. I say occasional, because it’s approximately every 5 – 10 captures. We will be capturing program into our MacPro through a Decklink Extreme card – to 1080i and recently 720p 59.94. After hitting Escape to stop the capture, we won’t always get a dialog box asking to name the file, it just quits capturing. When we navigate the hard drive to view the file (It doesn’t show up in PPro), the file won’t play in any program. We are capturing to ProRes 422. First it was to an internal RAID-1, then switched that to a RAID-0 thinking the drive may be having issues with that data rate (which is also why we went to 720), but has still done it. BlackMagic Speed Test shows 260MB/s write and 270 read now, was around 120 on RAID-1.

Anyone have issues like this? Wondering what we can do to try and trouble-shoot. Thanks! TC

Has this issue been solved? We are having the exact same problem with Premier CC 2015. Using Blackmagic Intensity Pro capture card.
