    Hi everyone,
    I just installed Avid Xpress Pro (4.5) on a new computer and I have a problem. The “Capture” (under “tools”) and the “Batch Capture” (under “bin”) aren’t active (grey). When I connect my Panasonic DV camera to the firewire

    DId you set up a deck/camera in the deck settings of the application first?

    anything 24fps

    The deck setting is Generic-DVDevice-PAL.

    Before you try that, have you gone under either “media creation” or “capture” and checked to see that “filter based on resolution” is turned off. If you’re capturing to your main drive and “filter out start up disk is” checked you won’t dig to the c drive.

    Well,
    I’m not capturing to the main drive. I’m capturing to D drive.
    Anyway, I tried to click Start, then Run and then type regsvr32 DVBuffers.ax (as suggested at the Avid web site) but it didn’t help. I got a massage that the file dosn’t exsist…
